June 21, 2022

Striving to be a better ally? June, recognized as LGBT Pride Month, is a great time to recommit to LGBTQ+ allyship and learn tips to sustain your efforts all year.

Not sure where to start? Or have specific questions you’re not sure who to ask? Join us for our first-ever crowdsourced webinar. That means that we want to hear from you! What questions about LGBTQ+ challenges or the LGBTQ+ community do you have? What do you not quite understand? Are there certain scenarios that you’re unsure of how to navigate? We're here to help.

What You'll Learn

We’ll begin our webinar with a 30-minute workshop on best practices for active allyship followed by a 30-minute Q&A panel discussion.

During the workshop portion we'll cover:

Back to the Basics

Worried about using the wrong or an outdated term? We have you covered with LGBTQ+ terms and what they mean in context. We're also sharing data points around the community and how those statistics show up in the workplace.

Barriers to Allyship

Unconscious bias, privilege, misinformation, and fear can all act as roadblocks to LGBTQ+ allyship. We'll share strategies to breakthrough the barriers by first recognizing they exist.

Active Ally Tips

Learn tips from inclusive LGBTQ+ language to how to react when someone comes out to you. Plus, registrants will receive our comprehensive guidebook, How to Be an Active Ally, and discounted access to our new course, The ABCs of LGBTQ+.
