Access to digital spaces has become essential to daily life and work. Yet, for more than a billion people with disabilities worldwide, technology can actually limit participation and opportunity. Inaccessible websites, apps, and workplace systems make the online world difficult—and sometimes impossible—to navigate. Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), observed annually on the third Thursday of May, calls on organizations to make inclusion a design principle from the start, ensuring that technology works for everyone.
