Aby Rao, Cybersecurity professional, Filmmaker and Film Festival Director

Aby Rao is a dedicated cybersecurity professional with over two decades of experience in the IT industry. Aby is also a passionate filmmaker and digital storyteller, holding a Master's in Television Management from Drexel University. His cinematic works can be found on various online platforms, including Tubi and Apple TV. With a commitment to diverse storytelling, Aby's films have been featured at prestigious festivals such as the Cucalorus Film Festival, Carrboro Film Festival, and Seattle South Asian Film Festival. Aby is also the co-founder and Festival Director of the Home Is Distant Shores Film Festival, headquartered in North Carolina. Through this platform, Aby continues to champion inclusivity and cultural diversity within the filmmaking community.
